Well, you may try altering some settings in your profile.
First, change to the default profile (not Garuda), from Konsole Menu => Settings => Change profile. Test if the default behaves better.
Next, clone your Garuda profile with another name, so you can keep the Garuda for reference.
Change to the new profile and change settings for fonts in Profile Settings => Appearance. Try some combination and test.
For a reference, I just plugged in an external monitor with not the same ratio as my main and I have no such issue with konsole.
Use whatever terminal you want, but if you haven't spent any time using the KDE drop down terminal Yakuake you're missing out IMO. Once you get used to having a drop down terminal you will never want to use anything else.
I disliked the drop down at first as it took some getting used to, but I couldn't even imagine using anything else now.
Weird. The Default profile works with no issues. In fact, switching my profile to Default and back to Garuda fixes the problem. Although once again this only lasts for the current window and I have to do it again if I close the window and reopen.
Mainly because when I open up Konsole it automatically starts in the Garuda profile and not the default profile. When I click on manage profiles, I only see the Garuda profile listed and the default profile is not there.
Though I can almost guarantee it is not a profile problem. Even making my own profile and setting that as the default encounters the glitch at startup. However, if I switch to it manually it goes away. The glitch only happens at startup and it goes away when I make some change to the Konsole's state, whether that is a change in the settings or a change in the profile I am using via "Switch Profile". Either option makes Konsole "resize" itself and then act normal on that particular monitor. However, If I move it to the other monitor, once again the text appears slightly warped and I have to make some change to get it to "adjust" to that monitor.
