i do not have the indicators on the physicial keyboard

Right click on the taskbar and select "Add Widgets..."

Type "lock" in the search bar and you should be able to find one called "Lock Keys Status".

Right click on your new widget and select "Configure Lock Keys Status" for a small options menu that will allow you to select which keys you would like the widget to monitor.

When you activate a lock key an icon appears in the taskbar.
