Keyboard shortcuts and some keys crash in Hyprland when pressing Win+R

Hello good guys, due to the change of many OS, which are migrating to Wayland, I decided to change flavor in this case to the Hyprland version, there is an ISO on the official website that is from October 29, 2023, but I decided to download the latest from the 240315 server, it is as expected except for some minor details such as support for snapper-tools (if I read the forum and if I know how to recover my instant) via command line in TTY.

Well, the thing is that I don’t know because when I press the Windows key + R, a large part of the keyboard’s functionality is blocked, for example, I can no longer type the “h” or “l” like the keyboard arrows and the shortcuts are deactivated. from Hyprland, I have to reactivate it in a bad way keyboard by pressing the “ESC” key and it goes back to normal

I don’t know if my question goes beyond Noob but why is this? and is there a way to remove it? because this only happens if I press the Windows + R or (mainMod + R) keys

Mod+R is assigned key biindings which are used for keybindings , after pressing Mod+r you can use vim like “HJKL” or arrow keys to resize and then press Esc key to exit the resize mode :eyes:

Hahaha if you didn’t tell me I didn’t know, I was so used to the mouse that I resized it with the mouse, thank you!!

Operating a WM with a mouse is like putting on your pants with pliers.
Awkward :smiley:

You can enable that.

resize_on_border = true

add this in general in hyprland.conf

hahaha, coming from plasma, I also still have the habit of using Alt+Tab to switch between windows.

Thanks, IUSELINUX, yes I had it enabled but I better disable it to get used to the keyboard
