Keyboard keeps resetting to US

I looked here and here, in the first one it looks like the issue wasn’t solved and I don’t really want to go through the second one, to me it looks like the simplest way to solve this is to make some auto run on startup script that will set it in settings each time, can someone please make one/tell me how to make one?

this is in my vconsole.conf:

# Written by systemd-localed(8) or systemd-firstboot(1), read by systemd-localed
# and systemd-vconsole-setup(8). Use localectl(1) to update this file.
FONT=ter-220n
KEYMAP=cz
XKBLAYOUT=cz

for clarification: I’m talking about this setting that keeps reverting

hi maybe because the Layout is ENABLED in English(US) see in pic number 1.Maybe you DISABLE it and Reboot and it start your cz keyboard layout correctly.

If not you can Enable it again.Then you click on ADD and choose your country and Apply it first.After Apply you can push cz up to your first layout on top and us below it.Apply again and test your cz layout in the Test Area.Should be working hopefully=)

hello, I hope this helps because I had to redo this again for Japanese input and forgot how to do it from my old laptop … xD

First you’re gonna go to input method in the system settings. Then you click on “configure addons …”

In “addons” you’ll go to “input method selector”

Then you make a key binding for the “trigger key” in my case it’s “launch (2)” which wouldn’t get used any other way since I don’t have windows anymore :stuck_out_tongue:

So when you click that button then you can change your keyboard :smiley:
