KDE 6 only works on X11

So today the update to KDE 6 was pushed. After successful update I rebooted and logged into wayland session. Extremely slow with a lot of errors. For example:
krunner failed to start error, ‘/’ file system not responding, mouse pointer does not move, it takes several minutes to launch anything, does not see my second monitor.

Works great on X11, which is the output from because I can’t get the output from wayland. Thank you in advance for the help.

That didn’t do anything

So we are getting the 6.0.0 and not waiting til 6.0.1. Sorry but leave it to the Arch devs to mess things up.

Waiting for stable release.

This is the release, and stable.

But this is very true.
Arch or most likely KDE devs.
Not to mention Nvidia…

For this we should have been given a warning that it was coming. Did Arch even announce that this was dropping? What is this bit about a migration tool?

I see your point, but although highly relevant, this update has been very much under focus for months.
There was also “the big testing thread” in our forum.
I didn’t get a chance to participate, but in my opinion a look at how things were going had to be taken every now and then.
For example, there was some talk about it at the moment.

or here:

Everything was done, very well in my opinion, and without being able to know when Arch would have released KDE6 from testing to extra, so in my opinion it would have been difficult to manage a precise communication in terms of timing and details (as things were fixed as testing progressed).

Boahhhhh. it works on the old Nvidia PC from 2012 :joy:  .

Like I said I blame Arch cause they could have pushed a message if they had wanted to. I got hot cause I did an update yesterday morning just before having a ton of things to do outside the apartment just to get home to Plasma 6 being pushed. I was expecting to come home, check email, eat and go to bed. But instead I ended up having to deal with fixing a dozen or so minor issues with 6. Like I said from what I’ve read so far I got off pretty easy.

Wow! Plasma 6 got you so excited you missed your bedtime? :+1:

Did you at least eat?

Do not reply to me. I’ve told you before. It is not a request.

I guess I’ll reply to whomever I wish. Certainly I don’t bomb your posts with :poop: emojis, do I?
