Downloaded the latest ISO for dr460nized (from ISO Builds from the Garuda Start page). Downloaded, moved to my Ventoy USB, booted it up, and tried to choose dr460nized.
It immediately gets stuck in the first line Starting systemd-udevd version 256.2-1-arch for 3 or so minutes, then I received a dracut warning: Could not boot.
I then attempted to save the report it mentions but my keyboard(s) do not work at all, though the dracut shell cursor is blinking.
No buttons work, the only thing I’m able to do is hold my power button down, and do a hard power off. I did try both open source and proprietary (NVIDIA) options, both with the same result.
Is anyone else able to get this too boot successfully?
Thanks for the report, in fact, that’s a know issue since a while. But it only affects non-official ISO, so it hasn’t been on high priority for now (for me, Chaotic-AUR’s migration to infra 4.0 currently is).
In this case, a picture is fine imo. Can’t do much besides that to capture the system state
Is there anyone else who might be able to look into this in the meantime @garuda-team ?
No thanks, I’m happy with Garuda. Lol I tried COS and wasn’t my cup of tea (no offense to them, just not for me). I’ll just download from the website then. Was just trying to grab the latest ISO for reinstalling KDE (tried Gnome, and while it wasn’t bad, the flashbacks of extensions (which makes it usable for me) breaking on updates made me decide to go with my favorite desktop again).
I just downloaded the garuda-dr460nized-linux-zen-240428.iso today from the website, put it on Ventoy, and attempted to boot from it. I received the same error that I got from the 07-15 iso, but much much faster this time. @SGS
I’m not sure what’s going on. Is it me?
My last install was from 240428 dev build BEFORE the official release announcement using Ventoy and I had not issues, This install is from the official release for 240428 using Ventoy and installed just fine. My suggestion and what I do when I do run into this with a ISO I know should boot and install fine from Ventoy is reset the flash drive to factory default and reinstall Ventoy and my ISO’s. Unfortunately I seem to be missing my easy guide to post for you. Give me time to go through the forum cause I know I’ve posed it for at least one other.
