Hello all, I am having issues starting JACK for audio recording. I am using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.

Here's what I have tried:
QJackCtl: Realtime, Alsa, and selected the 2i2 in the options.

Here is the error return:

I tried searching the error itself : But I only got this reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxaudio/comments/qtmynn/problems_starting_jackd_method_requestrelease_is/
And it didn't have a solution to my problem.

I have also tried using Cadence, and no joy. I am still new to linux and linux audio recording, so anything more that needs to be known, please let me know!

*I did notice that Jack is version 1 instead of Version 2. Will that make a difference? I am wanting record using Ardour, so that's my ultimate goal if there is a better route with pipewire and such. I am still newer to this,

Have you installed pipewire-jack?

That worked, had to use command line to start ardour.
