Issue with resume from sleep after update

Hello,

I’m newer to the Linux world and I’ve really enjoyed Garuda. I have an issue since the recent Zen Kernel update with my resume from sleep. When I put my computer to sleep it seems like all of my input device stop working on resume. I can see my mouse cursor but I can’t get any imputs to work to unlock the system. My mouse and keyboard LEDs are lit up, my monitors are on and other devices are on (indicating USB is still on and not a hardware issue). Before the update I had no issue with sleep. Any assistance or directions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

It works here by short press the power button, but I read, not for every one.

Maybe I didn’t explain my issue clearly. I can put the computer to sleep and get it to wake up from sleep without issue. I can put it to sleep with the power button or the desktop and I can get it to resume with my keyboard or power button. The issue is when it resumes I can’t use any inputs after that. Everything is frozen on screen. I can’t get my keyboard or mouse to interact with the desktop.

Thanks,

I’ve had that happen in addition to just the panel at the bottom refusing to hide at random times. In both cases I’ve issued the following command to reset the desktop: systemctl --user restart plasma-plasmashell.service

How can you enter that on a froze pc? One of two ways…if you have ssh enabled (it’s off by default) you can ssh into the pc from another one and issue the command. The other method is try ctrl alt f3 or f4…in some cases you can get to a console, log in and enter the command. Hope this info is useful.

This issue may go away if you run another kernel (try the lts and mainline).
