first of all thanks for all the hard work and for this amazing distro.
i have installed new mokka iso
and on garuda welcome i tried to make a system update on maintenance tab
i was asked for my login password . and it says incorrect password .
for all options in garuda wellcome has the same issue
then i tried other iso like Garuda Dr460nized
same issue there
in garuda Garuda XFCE welcome screen was completely blank.
note that i have tested garuda on 2 machines and had the same issues
my main machine is a PC with an asus x670 MB , ryzen 7950x3d with an rtx 4060 and 64 gb ram
and my 2nd machine is an asus zenbook with a ryzen 5600h 16gb ram
Just try the “normal” way, open terminal and use upd.
There was also a forum post about “unknown” chars like a ; in passwords.

i have figured out the issue
my original magic password was “\\”
that works well on the terminal
i have changed it to a letters only pass eg. “mypass” and it worked also on garuda welcome options
