Is KDE display scale factor completely broken in Wayland, or is something configured wrong on my system?

I attempted to try Wayland, and everything was too small on my screen. Normally I have my 4k display scaled by 125% in the KDE monitor settings. So I tried adjusting the same setting under Wayland and looking at text makes me feel like I have vaseline smeared on my eyeballs. It’s just horrible looking beyond belief.

Is that it? It doesn’t work? Or is something else wrong? Running at 100% scaling is not feasible, I need reading glasses to see anything.

Wayland is not implemented well in KDE at the moment. It is still rather buggy. Some things work for some people but not others, etc. Allegedly it will be much improved in Plasma 6.

Thanks for the reply. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something with my configuration, since it seems like a lot of people are already hopping on the Wayland bandwagon.

And hopping off of it just as fast. Wayland is the problem-child of Fedora/Red Hat, and works best in a Fedora/Red Hat GNOME environment.

It’s slowly bleeding its way into KDE, a non-Red Hat UI.
