Invisible mouse Garuda Hyprland

I’m sorry I couldn’t post the guards-info results but it’s pretty impossible to do that and get on the forums on the affected hardware without a mouse.

Everything was working fine initially and I loved it but upon a restart my mouse simply disappeared and everything I have tried to to has not worked.

I looked for specific mouse settings and couldn’t find anything. I put the following line in, “.profile”:
export WLR_NO_HARDWARE_CURSORS=1

I also used similar methods in the hyprland config file and bashrc to no avail.

Any help would be much appreciated as I love the look of this thing but I could really use a mouse.

Thank you!

Edit: Thanks to Kayo!

Please take a look at Nvidia | Hyprland Wiki . You need to add the Direct Rendering Manager (DRM) kernel parameter.
nvidia_drm.modeset=1

(There might be also something else you are missing, but I lack Hyprland experiance :sweat: )

I have no clue but these ring a bell
Mouse cursor disappear · Issue #1520 · hyprwm/Hyprland · GitHub
cursor_disappears_after_opening_a_window - Reddit
linux - Hyprland mouse icon disappears after Application start - Stack Overflow
Is it the same problem, that is, mouse disappears but you can still click blindly?

edit: message was supposed to be @z-prince :man_facepalming:

It seems your issue is solved, but just for the record, I always have an invisible cursor after installing hyprland. I’ve had the most luck adding the line WLR_NO_HARDWARE_CURSORS=1 to /etc/environment
