Installing software ex. epic games launcher for unreal enging

I am brand new to linux but wanted to try it out since i want to get into coding. I cant seem to find how to install software from the web. I looked at the arch wiki but cant seem to find any answers. any help or direction would be appreciated, sorry for being a complete newb

I see what your saying for optipi thank you. I guess i need more specific help, I am trying to install Unreal Engine. I have the souce code but it says that I need to build the binary? any help there?

Thank you I think this is exactly what I needed but I'm still lost.
$ ./Setup.sh gave me
fish: Expected a variable name after this$.

This represents the shell prompt. $ is your normal user. # is the root user.

You may find installing from the AUR is easier.

Tip: read over wiki pages before copy-pasting commands.
