On the Lutris website, only a tool to use with MTG arena, and the old Magic the Gathering Online show up in the search.

MTG Arena may not be supported, and to note, on the MTG Arena website, MTG Arena for PC is windows only, not linux.

You might look into using Wine to run the windows version of MTG Arena, if that might meet your needs.

https://www.winehq.org/

Wine is available in the Archlinux repository, so it can be easily installed using:

sudo pacman -S wine

Hope that helps.

The pic show, there is an .exe file missing, please …

Looking at the options here: Magic: The Gathering Arena - Lutris if you have issues with the install scripts, you will probably be much better off running it through Steam with less headaches down the road. I am not sure why some scripts grab a 32-bit version and some 64-bit… while others do a messy .msi file way that requires manual updates.

Meanwhile on Steam, it is working for most people using one of the following: proton 8, Experimental, or the latest Proton-GE.

Yes, there is a .exe file missing, in previous installations, that file is not missing, since last week, this new installation give this error.

And, all others game installations where OK, only with the standard Lutris installations.

It never give me an error, only now with the .exe file missing.

I have another error with Steam, neither Steam-runtime or Steam-native, works. The only launcher that is functional is Heroic.

So, in another post, I describe that error.

The stranger thing is Steam never gives me an error, only last week. So, Steam is stuck or unexecutable for me right now.

So it was working? You really should of started off stating that in you other thread if that was the case. That is critical information…

Looking at your other thread and hearing this, it sounds like there could be a more serious general issue at play here, and not just a Steam (or even a Lutris) issue.
From your other posts, you said you didn’t have a snapshot from the time it was working for some reason which makes this a quite a bit harder to troubleshot/fix.

This is quite odd, and adding this “exe can’t be found” into mix makes it a bit stranger. First off, you haven’t even told us yet if the exe is even at the destination folder or not, just that it is “missing” (not sure if you aren’t just repeating the error you received or actually looked) . If it really isn’t in the folder, that specific script could be outdated/faulty and there is nothing to get from its URL listed.

I am not sure why information is being drip fed over these two threads, this is just getting a bit frustrating when we are not getting information back when requested.

We are going to need to know what exactly has been going with your computer over the time when it was working to when it wasn’t if there is a more underlying issue going on here (I assume there has been a lot of installing/updating things as there is not a snapshot from a week ago).

We are also going going to need feedback on what was suggested or we are not going to go anywhere with this; please reply to suggestions made in your other thread with detailed information (like recheck file/folder permissions to see if that is why you can’t read an executable).

I’ll leave you with my suggestions for now, to try to “work from the ground up”.
Since I don’t have much information to go on, I am going to just guess for now that this issue started after an recent update. There could be an issue with your outdated BIOS and compatibility with the latest Zen Kernel.
Update to V3.08

I would also look over your Journal Errors and report anything that could be related for problems in there (especially from times you are trying to write or read from storage)

Before installation, there is no path and file exe.

And, prior to these error, Lutris run without flags with the same BIOS. So, the problem was not hardware.

It is Lutris version Bad or the installer of the new version of MTGA?

Also, I will obtain the exe, in order to put in the mentioned path.

Check the specific script you are running . Check its URL. If you can’t get the file manually from its URL, neither can the script.
Since you were not specific on the script, I checked the URLs for the downloads. Looks like all of them point to active downloads, so you should of least got files if you ran the script. I would double check to make sure you have storage space for it an any temporary files (there was a mention of having low Home space before) and make sure permissions are in order just to be sure.

I see enough space on Home:

OK, what script I have to ckeck?

You are opening multiple threads with steam error

There are 2 different problems.

1._ Lutris cannot install the game.
2._ Steam cannot be installed on the system.

Have you tried installing steam from flathub?

No, the Garuda team suggest that is not recommended to install flatpak or flathub.

Even so i woyld try doing it, just for testing purpose, need to find whats invalid

OK, waiting for your attempt.

Dude, you should try that, my steam is working, if you are waiting for my step then we can finish that discussion, what you need steps a-z how to install flathub package? Wow, well im done, good luck

OK, I will work on that.

Informing when It’s done.

No solution. I’ve installed Garuda-Cinnamon.
