Hi there, welcome to the forum.
Have you verified the checksum?
What have you used to flash your ISO? Ventoy is the suggested tool, although others should work, of course.
Last but not least, which edition are you trying to install?
In case this is the Dr460nized Gaming, go for the normal Dr460nized and install later the gaming stuff.
If the normal Dr460nized does not work, try this special build, based on the LTS kernel, as opposed to our standard linux-zen:

Checksum is valid. Given where it’s crashing I don’t see how the version would mater. No whee close installing to installing packages? This is the dr460nized…240428

This is the main problem if they are really very new. Plus Nvidia GPU.

In the offer of Amazon since October 27, 2021

Just post garuda-inxi from live ISO as text.

  • Post the FULL output of garuda-inxi in the body of the post (not linked externally, or collapsed with the “hide details” feature)
  • Format terminal output (including your garuda-inxi) as a code block by clicking the preformatted text button (</>) , or put three tildes (~) above and below the text

It matter, trust filo
Try the LTS Version garuda-dr460nized-linux-lts-240522.iso

A simple example: sometimes new users get (I don’t even know why or how) to the development build archive. Those it is normal that they often do not work.
On the contrary, the official versions work for so many people, so the problem should be looked for “elsewhere”, not in the build.
Knowing the extended name (e.g., garuda-dr460nized-linux-lts-240821.iso) also helps us tie the problem to known situations (e.g., gaming, as mentioned), or see if you are using the zen or lts kernel, etc…

It’s version
garuda-dr460nized-gaming-linux-zen-240428.iso

The live cd is hanging at boot… so not sure how to that.

The gaming edition has often given this kind of problems to some people.
Try the normal dragonized and, if not working, the one with LTS kernel linked above.
From the dragonized edition, you can easily install later all the gaming stuff with Garuda gamer.

Trying the non gamer version right now. Garuda KDE Dr460nized. Seems the same issue.hanging on live load.
I can’t seem to add a screenshot for whatever reason but hanging right right after
Device "/dev/loop3’ mounted successfully.

Been sitting there for 15 minutes :), so pretty sure it’s fu barred.

If you’re currently using Ventoy, please try with Balena Etcher, since several issues have been reported with Ventoy lately (although different from yours, if I remember correctly) and the devs are investigating.

I wrote the image with popsical from pop-os Debian install (which installed fine from the same stick btw). I also verified the hash before writing.
I’m a little doubtful that this is an image issue and more arch really doesn’t like something in my hardware stack. But I’m just guessing.

I’m kind of out of ideas here. The stick boots fine on an old laptop, it seems to not like something in my desktop hardware? That seems like significant issue. I can load into pop is and collect data from there…

Check in the BIOS that the SATA controller is set to AHCI mode.

Try another flashing method, for example using cat, dd, or tee as described here: USB flash installation medium - ArchWiki

Which of the LTS ISOs did you try? Try 240821 if you haven’t yet.
