Hi! I wanted to make the switch from windows to Linux after the privacy cluster■■■■ windows 11 has become (yes this has been bad for a while but having a 3 year old and a newborn isn’t exactly a catalyst for doing stuff like that :D).
Having already tried and used Mint, Ubuntu and Debian for some time in the past, I decided to try Garuda Linux this time.
Things I’ve done so far:
- downloaded Garuda Dragonized gaming
-created the boot USB with Rufus - disabled fast and secure boot (deleted the keys as well)
-checked that the SSD (which also contains windows) is in AHCI Mode and has an empty 400gb unformatted partition - booted from the USB Stick
After that I only see a quick flash of “Welcome to GRUB” and after that only a black screen. I’ve waited for around 15 minutes for things to progress.
Any ideas?
