but it works fine on windows

Welcome to the forum @mafiatamilan.

Please post your garuda-inxi as requested by the template.
If you don’t have Garuda Linux installed at the moment, then boot a garuda live.iso and post your garuda-inxi from there.

It does not make sense to write everything in the topic title - please use the start post for that. I have fixed it for you.
It is also helpful to describe the problem in detail and to post possible error messages.

brother i am sorry now i am on fedora please tell me

Please try to write sensibly, this is not a ghetto but a support forum for Garuda Linux.

If you plan to install Garuda Linux, then boot a garuda live.iso and post your garuda-inxi from there.
This will give us an overview of your system and especially of the hardware you have installed, such as your non-functioning microphone. Since you obviously have the same issue with every distro, your hardware (unknown to us) is probably not Linux compatible.

If you do not use Garuda Linux or do not post your garuda-inxi, you will hardly get any help here.

This is not a general technical support forum, and in that case this topic will be closed.

Edit: @mafiatamilan
The hardware is basically linux compatible, including the sound chip.
The first thing you should do is a BIOS update:

After a BIOS update, the factory defaults are loaded, so you have to change the settings again.

Basically the following applies:
BIOS = UEFI-only mode
Secure Boot = disabled
Fastboot = disabled
AHCI = enabled
And check possible settings to allow booting from external usb drives.

Since you have windows dual boot, boot windows and disable Faststart and Hibernate in the power settings. Then shut down windows correctly, either by right-clicking on the start menu → shutdown or Shift + shutdown. Anything else is not a real reboot/shutdown. Windows hijacks hardware if it has not been shut down correctly, this is then not available under linux or does not work properly.

If none of this helps and you still can’t run Garuda Linux or other linux distros without issues, then something on the laptop is not linux compatible.

  1. Fedora is not part of Garuda Forum
  2. Always Check your inputs (change between them), Change type of your input.
  3. If it’s working on “Win” it should work Linux via Alsamixer, Alsa, Pulse

From your inxi i can clearly see it’s detecting the hardver, but you should check them manually to switch between sources.

Waiting for your feedback. Good Luck!
