Not using Wayland, but I am using Nvidia.
Yep X11 for me is not able to handle even basic animations like launcher menu and stuff and is also kinda slow for me.
Wayland works with no problem.
It just doesn’t work. I even tried assigning it a screen edge but still won’t show up!
Maybe tomorrow I’ll reinstall al packages or whole system or just wait the new release of Garuda.
hi, i have updated yesterday, everything is working fine but the HDR option is not in the settings, i can only select an ICC file but even that doesn’t work, however kscreen doctor says the monitor supports HDR, i tried it and it worked fine, any idea what’s the problem here? thanks.
Let me know what do you think about the HDR.
Also when you enable it the SDR contend looks washed out on colours?

How do i move the min/max/close buttons to the right side of the screen via the panel with KDE 6? You used to be able to just edit the panel and move it, but at the moment it disappears when you try to do that.
Right click an empty area of the desktop, then click “Edit Mode”. Click on the options button for that panel (usually at the far right side), then just drag the buttons to where you want them. If the buttons disappear, hover over the space just after the menu button and there should be a pop up with the name of the applet for the window buttons. Then drag it to wherever you want it.
Hallo Team
I have got a weird problem after the update in the garuda dragonized gaming edition.
the blur effect when I open a window has disappeared although it is enabled from the setting.
There was some mention of blur in the testing thread:
Guess it should be working in the next Kvantum version?
Tried upgrade
twice and the update process hangs in different spots.
- ( 3/26) Reloading system manager configuration…
- (205/390) upgrading grub-theme-garuda-dr460nized
I’ve been waiting for about 20 minutes on the second one. I have no idea what to do?
This isn’t possible, i know what you’re talking about in terms of it used to be empty space, but it literally dissappears now. There’s nothing to click and attempting to click random spots doesn’t help either. kind of at a loss.
Oh weird. I was able to do it without any issues. You might remove that panel, readd the panel from the menu, and see if it’s just a one off
Turning off GPU acceleration fixed this problem. Turning it off in chrome also fixed some blinking problems chrome was having.
I just noticed this update made wayland default. which most likely was causing the problems I was having. How do I make x11 be the default?
If you go into the SDDM settings (where you choose the splash screen, should be in the Appearance menu now, then last option in the Appearance menu, then the behavior button on that screen), click on behavior, you can set it to auto login and set what session type you want to login in as. I have mine set to auto login with Wayland, but you can definitely set it to login with X11. Does that help? I can send some screenshots if it’d help.
System Settings, Appearance & Style, Colors & Themes, Login Screen (SDDM), Behavior (top right of window).
Thanks! I wasn’t at my desktop and couldn’t remember the exact path. Trying to work through the flu today.
Got it sorted. Needed to set it to “always visible” which then allowed me to move it. Set it back after.
