Would this be good for Garuda?

Garuda Linux already has the NixOS edition that uses an immutable root. The NixOS edition is much better suited for immutable root deployment than the Arch Linux editions of Garuda Linux because of tooling like nix-shell and nix run.
Cool, a NixOS edition. Does that 1 put all the settings in 2 files, 1 for hardware & 1 software?
That’s not really how that works. You can have as many files as you want. The minimum amount of files is one flake.nix file, but I would strongly recommend more files than that…
It’s best to learn the basics of linux first. Nix will not hold your hand and the documentation is to be fair not great. so your on you own a lot of the time. LLM’s are to out of date to help you either.
