Immediate standby after startup

Immediate standby after startup

I have the problem that whenever I start the computer with Garuda (garuda-mokka-linux-zen-250308), it goes into standby after about 10 seconds. Sometimes I still manage to log on, but even then it immediately goes into standby. It is difficult to wake it up from this standby mode. Same problem with Manjaro.

I don’t know what to do. I have not found any settings in the power settings or in the bios. I had the same problem with Manjaro after I updated. That’s why I tried Garuda. Garuda runs from Stick without any problems. But only after I helped with Ventoy.

Linux mint runs without any problems.

I have a lenovo P50 with NVIDIA graphics.

I don’t know…don’t have that much experience with laptops…but is it a laptop and is it’s battery faulty? (just the obvious)

Nope, everything is working fine with Windows and Linux mint also only running on battery. This all happens connected to the power source and battery too.

Well, I’m almost sure that if you consult the system logs, it will probably tell you what is causing the shutdown, unless it’s purely a kernel bug (unlikely but possible).
