I’m now 48 years old and from Germany. I’ve tested various Linux distributions before, but always went back to Windows. Recently, I switched back to Linux and went from Ubuntu → POP! OS → and now finally to Garuda.
I’ve installed Garuda Mokka and I’m satisfied so far. I need to get used to a few things, especially working in the terminal. Even though many things are similar to Debian/Ubuntu, there are still some different commands under Arch.
By the way, I stumbled upon Garuda through FireDragon. I liked the browser so much that I switched my whole computer over to you guys
Now I’m excited to see what my long-term experience with Garuda will be like. At a later point, I’d like to try out the Cosmic Desktop.
That’s all about me, and many greetings to everyone here
Nah honestly Garuda is made in such a way you do not need to use konsole on daily basis. I have few friends which migrated to Garuda and like touched konsole only to check logs or to flex their fastfetch lol.
Most if not all maintenance task can be done via RANI, and actually even checking logs
DE like KDE came a long way, very user friendly (with the exclusion accessibility is very sh$t).
My point is, don’t be worry of CLI/konsole, explore it, I love it. But for users that are afraid or believe linux is just a terminal + billion commands, those times are long gone.
Good to see you here. i’ve been using Linux since Windows XP was about half way through itself life time, but have over the last 4 years or so learned to love Garuda best of all the different distros around.
