Oh I read those years ago when I was a teenager. Mostly the Xanth series. I should give them another go though.

I don't know if anyone in the "family" is an avid movie/series watcher, but I'd like to know if any of you have any good recommendations :grin:

Not so much of a series type of guy, but I like documentaries, historical drama, action and horror.
Some of my faves are:

  • The Gladiator
  • Master & Commander
  • The Shining
  • Old Boy
  • Apocalypto
  • The Passion of Christ

That's just to mention a few... I'll probably update later :sunglasses:

If you like historical dramas (I see Gladiator is on your list) then if you haven’t seen it already try to find the old HBO series “Rome”. It’s one of the best period pieces of that era ever produced. With the added bonus of lots of good old fashioned Roman debauchery, (if you’re a prude do not watch this). 10 out of 10, one of the all time greats IMO.
