Like i said i cant connect my wifi with garuda gaming edition. I don’t know anything about linux this is my first time and i tested but because i can’t connect the wifi don’t installed. My motherboard mpg z790 edge ti max wifi. Please help me.
Like we wrote in the template
- After rebooting, post the FULL output of
garuda-inxi
in the body of the post (not linked externally, or collapsed with the “hide details” feature)
- Format terminal output (including your
garuda-inxi
) as a code block by clicking the preformatted text button (</>) , or put three tildes (~) above and below the text
All specs we need are inside.
My Englis is also not that good. If i’m being rude i’m sorry for that. Can you explain step by step? I need internet to learn linux.
You need to run garuda-inxi
in the terminal.
Then, copy the output and paste it in this post, using the preformatted text button (</>
) at the top of the text box you’re writing your reply into.
But i dont have internet connection how can i copy that text.
Are you able to connect your pc with a internet cable so that your issue can be resolved . Or please provide more information so that we are able to help you.
Also, if you have a cell phone with a data plan you can get internet by connecting your phone to your computer. Your computer can connect using your phones WiFi using USB phone tethering.
You can do an offline install, so that you don’t use a bunch of your phone data doing the large update that happens at installation time.
I router is in the other room and i haven’t a cable that long. I can take pictures but i cant upload. I guess in this situation you can’t help me. Thanks anyway.
See my post just above your last reply.
Do an offline install. Internet is not required to install Garuda.
Then use USB phone tetherering to upload your garuda-inxi output to the forum.
I plug my phone but it does not work
Search the internet on your phone. Search terms:
How to use USB Android phone tethering for internrt.
i did it finally.

I did a quick search on the mobo model you gave in your initial post. What info I found online listed an Intel Wi-Fi 6e as the chip used on the mainboard.
I was not expecting your mobo to have Wi-Fi 7 installed, as this standard was only just ratified very recently.
Yours is the first garuda-inxi output that I have seen on the forum here with a Wi-Fi 7 chip onboard.
I’ll have to do some research, but my first complete guess would be this chip has not been certified for use in your region yet.
The other possibility is that the Atheros Wi-Fi 7 driver simply doesn’t have proper Linux kernel support as yet.
Unfortunately, very recently released hardware sometimes takes a long time before it works reliably in Linux.
I figured out someway. Re-install garuda do nothing exept turn off/on wifi, and turn on/off airplane mod. restart the system. Don’t understand but it worked. But i have plenty of other problems. forexample steam is installed but i can’t run it, so i decided to learn linux on virtual machine first. Thanks @tbg @TilliDie . i want to thank SGS and Heyian too but the site don’t let me to mention after 2. Thanks.
