Today I updated and got an new version of hyprland. Because I’m using a plugin (hy3
) the upgrade isn’t exactly smooth… It comes back up with errors in the config file 'cause it doesn’t load the plugin because it’s now outdated. In order to make it work, I had to run hyprpm update
, hyprpm reload
, and hyprpm enable hy3
. I also rebooted 'cause things weren’t going exactly smoothly (see below). What is the “correct” process? (I think I first have to log out and back in so the new version of hyprland actually runs and hyprpm compiles against that?) Is there a way this can happen automatically when a new version of hyprland comes out?
(I also noticed that if I log out and log back in then hyprctl doesn’t work 'cause the control socket isn’t working. Has someone else noticed this or should I open an issue for that?)
