Interesting, it’s kinda fragmentation, but hopefully better for the project itself.
I had no idea Hyprland wanted independence.

Politics is such an ugly game, too bad it has risen to the surface.
That’s an interesting twist though, to take the wlroots dependency out;)z

Edit: By politics I mean to encompass morality and beliefs as well.

The unfortunate reality is literally everything is political today. Absolutely everything.

I was just listening to a news report any an incident recently that many in the tech industry we’re calling for and praising an attempted murder and HOPED it would happen again?!?

It’s just baffling how people are these days. It’s unlikely going to get better before it gets a lot worse if history repeats itself yet again.

It doesn’t make sense to me, why can’t we stick to business for the most part and leave personal beliefs personal and private (so we don’t offend others with differing views)?
But then the world is crazy and everyone is looking to be offended also. bang head

I could actually explain it to you in a fairly concise way, but it would have to get at least a political which admittedly, Garuda has done a better job staying neutral at than most projects and distros.

I wouldn’t want to change that here. I wouldn’t want to ruin this forum like most of the others are.

I might do that :slight_smile: The world frustrates me…but I’m getting old and I understand that’s a requirement (being frustrated with it) and something past generations have gone through before me.
