How to share files with other computers on network?

Hey! I'm new to Garuda, and Linux in general. I've spent the past several hours trying to set up samba to share files, but I couldn't wrap my head around it. Tried using thunar-shares-plugin, but the package is broken. Is there a simple, comprehensive guide on how to do this? What utilities should I use? Or, is there an alternative to samba I should consider using? Thanks in advance.
