Hi, I’m new to Linux (and of course garuda ).
The Dragonized gaming edition suits me best and I’m using it. But i like hyperland so much(from yt and reddit showcases). How can i use hyperland on Dragonized edition?
I’m aware garuda has hyperland iso but i wanna use it in Dragonized
Maybe you’re asking about using KDE and Hyprland together?
I won’t say it’s impossible, but it’s messy. I saw someone on Reddit do it, and I tried myself but didn’t succeed.
It is possible to install several desktop environments side by side, but this can lead to serious problems.
It is important to create a separate user for each DE. One user + multiple DEs = config/theming issues.
We generally advise against this, so do it at your own risk.
If something goes wrong, you should be able to help yourself.
If you just want to test it, it’s best to do it in a VM.
Okay…
It would be best to use the Hyprland edition and then add what you need as far as gaming. If you use AMD gpu it shouldn’t be too hard. Nvidia makes everything hard. That’s what I plan to do once the new release hits. Right now I am the using Arch bare bones version with hyprland and gaming stuff installed and its working pretty darn good.
Good advice
Every Garuda spin other then Garuda nix subsystem comes with Garuda gamer from there you can add all the gaming things you wish.
