How to remove the system info that at top of terminal window

Trying to figure out where to remove the system info at top of Gnome terminal window.
On a laptop it takes up way to much room.
I would have thought it would be in the view.

i did search here and elsewhere nothing remotely gave information.

Search in .config/fish/config.fish about fastfetch and remove it.

Well that was no help.
Solved=installed a no nonsense Terminal , Qt Terminal.

It would have fixed the issue if you followed the instruction. The call to Fastfetch is in the Fish config.

The reason this β€œworked” is because your new terminal has not been configured to use the Fish shell. That is set up using a custom command in the terminal. If you use Fish in your new terminal, the β€œproblem” will return.

micro ~/.config/fish/config.fish

Scroll all the way to the bottom and delete the three lines related to Fastfetch.

Thanks that worked, did have to delete the β€œend” after those 3 lines as well.

We always mark here the solution and not the implementation.
