Hi people.

i have a little scripting problem with my new Garuda distro and that is that it does not seem possible to make the main panel disappear entirely.

i use this command
qdbus org.kde.plasmashell /PlasmaShell evaluateScript "p = panelById(panelIds[0]); p.height =0"

Yet the panel remains at 20 pixels height, even when i put in a negative number, it does not make any difference. The panel remains fixed at 20 pixels.

Is there a way around this issue?

Thanks

A hard minimum was established recently to work around a bug where the background would be drawn twice if floating panels were set with rounded edges, and the panel height was smaller than the rounded edges.

It sounds like the theme can also set a minimum panel height, so maybe test another theme like Breeze or something equally simple to see if it allows you to set the height you need.

Thanks for the quick reply but changing the theme did not work to resize panel to 0. i would like to hide my panel completely, not be left with a 20 pixel bar after i put it to 0. Is there no work around? Like another command line than i'm using now which hides the panel completely?

Thanks

Would something like this help?
Just an idea, the first hit of a search. I have no idea if this works...
