How to install Garuda's KDE over Garuda Hyprland?

I’m interested in installing the second desktop environment because i’m already are familiar with KDE and was quite dissatisfied with hyprland performance for now. Wayland not works good for my device - i already have fixed all problems i can figure on my own, but other problems need much more time (which i don’t have) and also i guess these problems are unique for a quite niche laptop (Maibenben x558 laptop), so making posts about them won’t help a lot of people.

Is there a way to install Garuda Dr4gonized DE over hyprland one without reinstalling entire operating system and does garuda supports installing a Dr4gonized DE package or do i need to import configuration manually from the live iso or internet site? I haven’t used 2 DE on the one OS before.

Also i have a separate home drive so it wouldn’t be hard for me to make Garuda clear install with KDE environment on the separated root partition. But i’m sincerely interested in trying to use Garuda with two DE installed on the same system.

When you install multiple DEs on top of one another, things can break in ways that are difficult to troubleshoot or fix. Put another way, if you need to ask how to do it, you probably shouldn’t do it.

In your case, it sounds like it will be trivial to back up your data and reinstall. The resultant installation is much less likely to be broken than if you try running two DEs concurrently.

Thank you. So there are a reason why i couldn’t find much people trying to install second DE on the OS to make them both run simultaneously.
