How to disable compositor on garuda dragonized

Hey, after trying out garuda hyprland (which by the way i think was a total waste of ressources) i downloaded the latest dragonized iso and installed it. the problem now is that i am unable to disable the compositor, not with shift alt f12, nor in the settings, nor with telling kwin to suspend the module. Did someone once again move settings around or is the compositor now forced in the latest iso? And yes on my laptop that got an garuda dragonized install from mid 2022 the option is right where i think it should be, the very same settings window on my desktop pc does not show these options anymore
inxi for whatever

The whatever here is to let us know you’re using Wayland.

I am under the impression you can not turn off the compositor under Wayland right now, maybe never.

If you really need to turn it off, you’ll probably need to switch to X11.

HTH :v:

how do i switch to that? i installed xorg and rebooted but i still can’t see an x11 option at the login screen, do i need to do something else?

The ‘swish’ says you need to reboot since your last update. Many times KDE settings will not take effect unless rebooted. Not always, but many times.

Please see what, if anything, a reboot yields.

I am afraid I don’t know this one. Might be SDDM’s configs don’t get overwritten.

This may help:

i did, it did not change anything, what worked for me is using an older garuda iso, tho i think that’s pretty sad…
