I am curious, I’ve been a member since July 2021 (first activity on my member info), but when I try to upload an image of a desktop, I am told new users cannot upload images. How long does new user status last? 5 years? 
The forum software probably downgraded you due to inactivity.
In most cases, this may be a good idea, but there are exceptions to the rule.

No, my guess would be you pissed off a moderator with a pic or vid you posted shortly after registering and you had your user level frozen. I can upgrade your status for you @eznix, as you have been a responsible forum member for a long while.
