How do I speed up animations in Latte Dock when minimizing and restoring minimized windows?
I tried changing the animation speed in the panel under edit panel > effects > animations are still the same speed.

WELCOME to the forums!

Tnx for posting your garuda-inxi!

Well those animations are from KDE, not latte-dock. You would get the same experience with barebone KDE Plasma panel. By default...

Now if you want to change that default and speed them up:

  • Open System Settings (KDE's, not Latte-dock's!)
  • Go in Workspace Behavior
  • Go in Desktop Effects
  • Find a Minimize effect that has the option to change Animation Duration (Magic Lamp is one).

If you are using Squash animation, I do not know of any way to speed it up.

I am assuming here your hardware is already fast enough for OpenGL animations and judging by your inxi I believe yes.

I also believe you would find more answers on that topic searching the web.

You messed up your inxi, it was perfectly displayed while I was writing, maybe you deleted by mistake a character and lost the formatting. Can you plz fix it?

That fixed it, thanks !
