How do I get my default profile picture back

it looks kinda like this with a circle around it an the bottoms not filled it an in yellow? with a slight fade to orange i think it was at the base. honestly i think its something to do with kde itself

did you make it a svg?

No, I didn’t. I’ll try to convert it to that to see if that helps.

if you convert the font to curves it should scale

For some reason I don’t know how in the world I’m gonna do that.
(it should be obvious, but it isnt for me. probably because ive never touched a svg editor before.)

Even though it doesn’t quite get the User Switcher example correct, this is probably the best we’ll ever be able to get. Thx!

How it looks now?

IDK, what exactly are you doing?

Exact steps, please.

Missing font?

All I did was find and replace the font from AvantGarde to gpbNusxuriRegular.
Was it super duper important for the icon’s outline to not look like this, or for the text to be the exact same as in the live ISO? actually wait that part was dumb. of course it is.
image

First I opened up Kate, then used Find and Replace to Find and Replace AvantGarde LT Medium with gpbNusxuriRegular. I changed nothing else.

If the user switcher don’t use svg files, my attempt was useless. The picture you offer use the AvantGarde LT Medium font.

Now you change this font to another font, why?

It’s less difficult for other to follow if you post just the path. ~/.font or ~/.local/share/fonts/

If the user switcher is an “app” or “function” that generate the “icon” from some font, I can’t help.

I made it so that everything was using that font. (or at least, I tried to make as many things as possible use the font.) Also, last I remember the profile picture I had, used it too. Unless I’m remembering wrong.
(Path to gpbNusxuriRegular [on my computer]: /usr/share/fonts/gpbNusxuri/gpbNusxuriRegular.ttf)

Changing a font in the system is not done by deleting it and inserting another one, unless you give the new one the name of the old one.
You can add your font and then change it in the system settings.
BTW, WHOOGLE give me no links to this font, gpbNusxuriRegular.

not like that. i meant in the svg file.
also, the font is from 1tv.ge. I kinda took the font from their site.
I REALLY hope that didn’t put me into legal trouble.
(even though i literally just used it on my pc and nothing more)

Ok. I made a new one without font, just graphic.

Yup. That default profile picture was definitely special. So special it even changed the outline of the profile picture in the login screen from white to whatever colour it’s outline is.
This should be able to be a placeholder for now.

The default profile picture is not a real picture and has nothing to do with garuda. This is KDE stuff and is integrated somewhere in kirigami if I’m not mistaken. When you create a new account, this default profile picture is generated automatically, I believe via qml.
Take the svg from @SGS - or create a new account if you want the original back
