High CPU usage and low freq

Hello, i have a problem with Garuda. When the cpu usage go up the frequencies go down up to 1.6GHZ ando the usage go to 100% (The cpu is not heating 50º round) i dont know how to solve it.

Are you using some thing like auto-cpufreq or power-profiles-daemon or TDP or some such software? In that case check your config and try to uninstall/reinstall them (if you had it before)

Also are you are using intel undervolting? Try to disable that.

Perhaps you can describe your problem better?
When the CPU is heavily used, it gets warmer.
If it doesn’t get too hot, you get full performance.
Where is the problem?

This is not really my field, so I just try to go by logic.
It looks like the performance governor is not working correctly and the CPU is scaling down?
At a very quick internet search (so not necessarily accurate) I’ve seen that sometimes this

Might need some settings also at BIOS level. E g. here.
Or you can try other scale drivers or governors.

The ‘swoosh’ indicates you need to reboot. Please do so. Many, many times simple problems are solved by taking that one simple step.

Will it fix yours? Don’t know, but you will need to reboot to find out.
