Hibernating kills all programs

Hello!

I'm having issues when waking up from hibernate. I bound my power button to hibernate my pc. However when waking up from the hibernate state it kills all programs as if it woke from a power off state.

Any tips on how to fix this?

Here is my garuda-inix output:

If you need any more info don't hesitate to ask. I'm not that well versed with linux yet so thorough explanations would really help

Hi @Douradinho, did you add a dracut module for hibernation?

First create a config file in /etc/dracut.conf.d/:

sudo micro /etc/dracut.conf.d/resume.conf

Paste in this line to add the module:

add_dracutmodules+=" resume "

Be sure to include the spaces between the quotation marks, before and after "resume".

Ctrl+Q to exit (be sure to save), then rebuild the initramfs:

sudo dracut-rebuild

That solved it! Amazing

I also have an issue where my login screen is completely black. I can put my password and it logs into the desktop and everything is fine. But it's still annoying cause I cause see my login screen or if something else is wrong.

Glad to hear it @Douradinho. If it's all the same to you, please open a new topic for the issue with your login manager. Keeping the topics to a single issue can be helpful for folks searching for a solution in the future.
