Help with ASUS G14

Heya, just made an account on the forum. Been chasing this issue for days now, still pretty new to Linux as a whole.

So I have an ASUS ROG G14 (GA402NU) equipped with a Ryzen 7 7735hs, and an rtx 4050 mobile. I have the current Nvidia proprietary driver installed, but i’m not sure if it’s working? Trying to boot games and it only allows a max of 720p, the screen is a 165hz 1600p panel.

I’m not sure what from the inxi y’all would need but here’s what comes up when I run it.

Use prime-run like here:

In case of graphical troubles try also selecting and x11 session in the login screen.

Strangely enough, I had Garuda installed on this laptop a few months ago and had none of these issues, and never had to do something like this.

I had reinstalled windows for a short while, then after putting Garuda back onto this it’s starting to do all of this. No idea why haha

Yeah, I had installed Garuda back in June. Worked perfectly fine, 0 issues whatsoever. Reinstalled windows in July for a friend to use, put Garuda back on a few days ago and now it’s doing all of this.

Maybe all the changes on KDE are the culpably.

Okay, i’m on X11 now; Updated and rebooted. Should I just test a game now?

Yes, sure, try a game on x11.
As said in my post above, it is something important to test (especially with an Nvidia GPU).
