Hello,
I am trying to override the EDID of my dumb 4K TV to force RGB mode. I found a couple similar posts but none seemed resolved and they were older and talked about using mkinitcpio. It was mentioned that you need to force mkinitcpio to rebuild initramfs using the new EDID firmware file... but I haven't been able to find any equivalent way to do this with dracut. Maybe it does automatically? Either way the EDID is not changing. I changed the name of the monitor in the EDID to test it and it doesn't seem to change.
Here is my garuda-inxi output, and as you can see in my grub boot string I am using: drm.edid_firmware=HDMI-A-0:/edid/Samsung-EDID-RGB.bin ... I get no error but also no indication anything was loaded when I check dmesg. Thanks!
