Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Kenyuu, and I’m from Japan. I’m still studying English, so I’m using a translator.
I really love Garuda Linux and use it often. Recently, I deleted Windows and fully switched to Garuda. However, I’m currently facing a few issues.
First, I can’t seem to perform system updates. I tried various solutions I found online, but nothing worked. I’m not sure why.
Also, although this might not be directly related, I used to use Garuda as my main OS a while ago. However, I couldn’t play VR games properly due to some errors, so I had no choice but to use Windows for gaming. While I was using Windows, my account was hacked and unauthorized purchases were made. It caused a significant financial loss.
As a result, I reinstalled Windows, but after that, the boot time became extremely slow—taking tens of minutes, sometimes even over an hour. I suspect it might be due to a virus. I’ve accepted that issue for now.
What I’m really struggling with is that Linux Live USBs won’t boot anymore. I’ve tried several USB drives, but all I get is a black screen. Interestingly, Parrot OS boots just fine. So I’m wondering if it’s only Garuda Linux that won’t boot.
The Garuda system I’m using now is outdated, and I really want to update it, but I can’t. I’m very troubled by this situation.
If you could provide any advice or solutions, I’d be very grateful. Thank you.
