HDD Not working on Garuda Linux

I have a really old Hard drive my grandpa put some movies and i some games on, after switching to Garuda Linux i tried to open it but it just says “cloud not mount this device” when i try “mount and open”
i’ve searched online but i couldn’t find anything helpful, does anyone know how to use it (if you can)

Hi there, welcome to the forum.
Please provide the output of your garuda-inxi, as required in the topic template.
Additionally, provide some more details on that HDD. E.g.

lsblk -f

It could be that it is an NTFS device that could be mounted from terminal with:

sudo mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdXn /mnt/

(where sdXn will be a partition in that device to be found as suggested above; install ntfs-3g if necessary)
It might be also necessary in that case to fix it with:

sudo ntfsfix /dev/sdXn

But first of all, we need your inxi and lsblk to see what you have

also, i tried to run “sudo mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/zram0 /mnt/” and got this error

NTFS signature is missing.
Failed to mount '/dev/zram0': Invalid argument
The device '/dev/zram0' doesn't seem to have a valid NTFS.
Maybe the wrong device is used? Or the whole disk instead of a
partition (e.g. /dev/sda, not /dev/sda1)? Or the other way around?

thanks again

No

sudo mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdb1 /mnt/

More than glad it helped, given this background!
Remember that, if you keep that drive connected and you want to mount it automatically at every boot, you could do it via the fstab. Like here for example:
