Having trouble when switching tabs and game window modes while gaming/streaming

Hello All,

This is my first forum post, so if I make any mistakes or you have any suggestions, feel free to offer them so i can be more beneficial to the community in this situation. To give some background, I have updated my installation of garuda dr4gonized gaming edition, and unfortunately, after updating have been having several graphical issues including the following:

  1. I have had issues when launching my game and then tabbing over to other apps. The game is typically ran in full screen mode as if my cursor goes off stream it can be extremely distracting and when i tab over it switches the game to windowed mode automatically. When this happens sometimes my mouse clicks will stop responding or wont respond properly. For example, they won’t respond in my games, but if I hold alt tab I can click back to the window that I want to interface with. However, than my mouse clicks don’t register in that other program. Same problem present when interacting with desktop environment. Even if pressing the windows key to open the start menu, I cannot click on anything. Using tab and whatnot still works like normal.
  2. I unfortunately deleted my snapshots so I cannot downgrade to how the system was before the updates. I didn’t realize this issue until recently after a secondary update and my game crashing didn’t seem so normal anymore so unfortunately I can’t roll back the update.
  3. I’m not very good with linux, and I only picked this distro because it seemed clean and was very easy to get set up with for gaming and some of my other use cases.
  4. Rebooting doesn’t fix the issue.
  5. Checking the forums I couldn’t find anything relevant and recent that would be related to my issue as far as I can see. However, if you have somewhere to point me I would highly appreciate your assistance.

ok sorry

Please check carefully and merge /etc/default/grub-btrfs/config.pacnew

Why do you have so many orphans? Can they be removed?

So i ran both the commands you suggested, when you say “check and merge” what do you mean by this? also, that managed to somehow break my sonarr/radarr installation not sure what happened there. i know that there was a update to some libraries that werent properly implemented yet for jellyfin/sonarr/radarr etc so i made symlinks to the libraries so they had support but im not sure what for. jellyfin still appears to be in tact but sonarr and radarr now no longer work.

**edit attached I provide links to new garuda-diag logs. i did manage to reinstall sonarr/radarr/prowlarr and get everything working back how it was after doing the commands you told me to heres the new logs.

This is not the right solution to that issue, and can lead to struggle in the future. If it fails to find a library, then it most likely just needs a simple rebuild! I encourage removing the old symlinks. Hopefully removing and reinstalling helped whatever was done before.

They were foreign because they are built from the AUR, and as such are not in any repository. radarr exists in Chaotic-AUR, so no need to use radarr-bin.

When you build things from the AUR, it will often bring in dependencies that you didn’t expect. They’ll often change those dependencies more frequently than packages in a repository. It’s always good to double-check if a package is actually necessary to keep.

you can use meld for convenience

sudo -H DIFFPROG=meld pacdiff
