I am extremely new to linux of any kind except for steam deck this is my first time on linux on my main pc for about a week now, so sorry if I don’t know the lingo of linux; but I promise to get there in time

Just use

upd

in terminal.

Post the log if something failed.
If upd not work, use update. We are missing the garuda-inxi log, btw.

Make sure the locales you need are uncommented in /etc/locale.gen, then regenerate locales:

sudo locale-gen

See also these similar posts:

The last one especially is a good step-by-step for how to set up your locales.

so I found locale.gen in files; the thing is I don’t know what uncommented means,

I did do sudo locale-gen and it says it worked; but when doing reflector-simple again I still get the same warning

for example here it says to edit; but to edit all I have is the option is a notepad so I definetly know this is the incorrect way to doing it Locale settings defined outside /etc/locale.conf - #10 by jonathon
using text editor I get here

but will be honest I do not understand how to uncomment a line, unless you mean removing # like in writing

Ok I think I got it working now and thank you

sorry for the trouble and thank you for the replies. Loving my experience with garuda
