I literally just want to make the contrary of this How to Get the Bootloader Grub to Remember the Last Boot Selection?. For some reason my grub comes with a option to save the last used OS, and I tried to do everything on the internet (making GRUB_DEFAULT=saved or just putting 0 and setting grub-set-default 0 (0 being my Linux)). I troubleshooted for 3 hours and the damn thing keeps saving my last OS. I just want to like use my windows, turn off the pc, come another time, and let the system boot into linux (witch it should be the default OS). Not the last used OS.

Hi there, welcome to the forum.
Have you commented GRUB_SAVEDEFAULT=true?
You should only need GRUB_DEFAULT=0 or whatever your default.
Also make sure that none of them appears twice in the file.
And of course sudo update-grub after updating.
Maybe share your /etc/default/grub.

I didn't have GRUB_SAVEDEFAULT=true uncommented (I hoped that I was dumb and this was uncommented) and I rememebered to do sudo update-grub every time.
but for some reason it doesn't work

Try setting the "boot to" option in Garuda Boot Options and see if that sticks. :crossed_fingers:
