Ah...kinda figured but worth asking...this just seems like such a waste.
I'll try again. 2i2 doesn't have any line inputs right? I'm not even using midi for my e-piano.
Lol looking on the Focusrite site...ADAT Interfaces...wtf who even remembers those much less are still using them!?
2i2 has line. Scarlett 2i2 | Focusrite
Quarter Inch line in the center of the XLR. Switchable, phantom power yada yada.
I see only Line Outputs on the back. In the front see these XLR-like ports
Yes like I said Line are in the center of the XLR. If you put an XLR in the input you set the Inst button to out, plug a quarter inch into the center and push Inst in for line. its a "2 in 1" input.
ah ok thanks
There was a Presonus I was going to warn you about but looks like they aren't selling them anymore (thank god) heh.
Doesn't ring a bell. The only other one I know is Yamaha but yeah
Presonus has nice mic pre's. I bought one years ago but the model I got was pure trash. There was a "known" problem with the units but they kept selling them as they were. So if you had an XLR input and the input set to ZERO...I could still red line the input singing.
Then thanks for your help and time. At least I tried to get it running
Sorry we couldn't get it going...it's extra crappy because it's so close...oh well. Sorry dude.
Are you running Garuda KDE Barebones? Your screenshots sure look like it. Makes me wonder about what's in systemd and all. Makes me wonder if you'd have sound in KDE dr4gonized?
Damnit let it die! OK don't. Everything seems to be aligned, it feels like there is some stupid small detail being overlooked due to experience or translation that if we just remembered or noticed BLAM, working.
nah ran kde dragonized
As a lark you should grab an iso of UbuntuStudio and try that with the GoXLR script. I hate to admit it but when I was working out my system I looked at their defaults a lot as guide...lots of changed since & I did a few things differently but it's a decent starting place. Also oddly UBUSTU is now KDE too...
I got it
wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh
Got wut? It working? What did you do -say everything so it's detailed for future reference!
