Already using it
Consider switching to the Vivaldi browser. It has many more user-facing settings exposed, including theming. In addition to having hundreds of themes available on their website, they have an in-settings theme editor in case you'd like to adjust the color of this or the transparency of that.
In general the options available to you in Chrome are present in Vivaldi, and then some (more robust tab management options are available, for example, and more integrated search engine options including adding your own like Searx or Whoogle).
Switching from Chrome to Vivaldi is a cinch, as tools are built in for importing bookmarks and logins/passwords.
Vivaldi has integrated tracker blocking, which is pretty much the opposite of Chrome. If you would like to continue allowing Google to monitor all of your internet activity it is very easy to disable the tracker blocking.
Obviously Garuda. I am using Cinnamon edition though. Just try change theme to get different pop up menu colors.
Ok, I tried myself setting to GTK+ and it only effect title bar and tabs. Setting to Classic, going to You & google and Person 1 (might be your email instead there) and changing color scheme also affects only title bar and tabs. But something works.
Go to chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark enable choose "Enabled with selective inversion of non-image elements" and restart browser. Keep in mind that this mode is a bit awkward so I recommend you to use it alongside a seperate dark mode extension.
Do you mean you have changed it now? The image you posted shows a random theme.
Yeah thats looks bad and with dark reader i don't have problem because my issue is not with websites........
Yeah will try it.......
after gtk+ now the pop ups are in dark but rest of is same......
thanks for the suggestion this browser is really good.....
I literally downloaded Google Chrome (was testing with Chromium before), headed to Settings > Appearance, choosed GTK+, then to chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark , choose "Enabled with selective inversion of non-image elements", relaunched Chrome and everything (except pictures) are in dark mode. Tabs, settings menu, history, right click menus etc. If it still doesn't work, I'm out of ideas.
Are you by chance using a light GTK3 theme?
I'm on gtx+ as your , will try ur method, then informing
You are making a mountain out of a molehill out of your mountainous misunderstanding. There are few things simpler to achieve.
Some folks shouldn't use computers, just like some folks shouldn't get married (multiple times). I'm of both camps; how about you?
I'm already satisfied by switching to vivaldi browserand like i said it's not a big issue that is hampering me. Just curious if any thing can be done
It is not a 'fix' either. You presented a non-existent problem easily solved by personally (that is you) making the effort to explore and experiment with the vast and varied options. I.e. we're not responsible when you overlook stuff. You are. No sense posting about it.
KDE is a huge, huge mine of undiscovered possibilities. Explore them.
Ok got iti'm just new to linux...
We all were at some point. Welcome to the underbelly of the beast.
