Garuda-update & update remote keyring failing with "signature from "TNE <tne@garudalinux.org>" is unknown trust"

I’ve searched the web as well as our forum but coudn’t find a working fix for my issue.
Last time I was logged in was two days ago, did a garuda-update via Rani today, and it fails repeatedly with this:

Heya! This affects everyone, I’ll have a solution for this issue in a moment, please sit tight with me. Thank you!

I’m facing the same problem here
none of what i’ve done has solved this issue
I can’t even run garuda-update remote fix because of the same error…

Got an update for you all!

I updated garuda-update remote keyring to automatically update my key, so that should get you going for now until the keyring package is updated.

Thanks, worked like charm

3 posts were split to a new topic: “warpdotdev” signature error when running garuda-update

Its working for me now:+1:

I’ve pushed an update to the chaotic-keyring package that will address this issue automatically. A normal garuda-update should suffice, although it’ll do a little complaining at first before updating the keyring and giving you the yes/no confirm prompt.

If you are still having issues, the command

garuda-update remote keyring

should fix any remaining problem you may have with the keyring. This should not be run unless necessary.

What happened

My GPG key expired, whoops! The solution was to simply extend the key’s validity period, sorry about that. The updated keyring package includes the updated key information from the keyservers, so you don’t have to manually run pacman-key --refresh-keys.

This worked for me, thanks for the quick update!

Hey guys I’m using just plain Arch but got this error, does it have something to do with this or I should look elsewhere?

After sudo pacman -Syu the packages app2unit-git and quickshell-git needed or had something to do with the PGP firm from TNE, tne@garudalinux.org it seems? Does that make sense?

I was wondering too, i’m in the same situation.

Edit, i solved it:

pacman -S chaotic-keyring

Then it says PGP unknown, dont delete it.

do :
sudo rm /var/cache/pacman/pkg/chaotic-keyring.pkg.tar.zst.sig

sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/chaotic-keyring.pkg.tar.zst

then pacman -Syu should work !

You’re missing out on the tools we have in place to make this a smooth ride. In this case, you can either:

As for what happened, see the post above. All fixed up already

Hey there, long time no see

Does anyone know what’s going on with TNE’s signature at the moment? I can’t install many Chatoric AUR packages:

error: ...: signature from "TNE <tne@garudalinux.org>" is unknown trust
:: File ... is corrupted (invalid or corrupted package (PGP signature)).

I’ve already repeated all the chaotic-aur installation steps, but for once that didn’t fix anything.
Any idea what’s going on?
Thanks!
