Garuda-update on 2026-02-11 broke my 6.19.0-1-cachyos kernel

Running garuda-update today practically killed my cachyos kernel. garuda-health shows nvidia is not installed and booting into it leaves me with a low-res display and no network.

Attempted fixes:

  • Re-running garuda-update, even after mirror update, fails with same warning
  • Running garuda-health –fix also fails with error
  • Re-Installing garuda-hardware-profile-nvidia fails with same error

No rescue needed, installed linux-zen and that one works without issues.

However, i wanted to bring this up in case other people have the same issue - and it would be nice to get linux-cachyos working again.

Just ask the developer @ptr1337 or on cOS forum.

Not the upd brake it, only the kernel.

You can also restore last snapshot and wait for the fix.

Why does everyone think we’re responsible for every piece of software in the world?

Thats an issue with the chaotic-aur, which did not recompile all kernels after the binutils/gcc/glibc update.

Thank you for pointing out.
Maybe it will be fixed automatically next time, or it has already happened.
