Garuda SearXNG instance rate-limited

Hello,
The Garuda SearXNG instance has been defunct (rate-limited?) for a few hours now. It is possible to search things but everything I tried returned timeouts. Some services throw a "Suspended: access denied" error instead (DuckDuckGo, Genius).
I thought initially that it'd fix itself after a good few hours, but no change so far :woman_shrugging: what's happening?

This exact issue is happening to me too. Regardless of settings, I get a timeout error on trying to search anything.

Try Whoogle Search
or install it as service

pacman -Qi whoogle
Name : whoogle
Version : 0.7.4-1.1
Beschreibung : A self-hosted, ad-free,
                           privacy-respecting metasearch

By the way @dr460nf1r3 there is an update to 0.8.2

Edit: -git does not work for me

Whoogle is just Google but the privacy-respecting version right? I didn't realise it was possible to make it use TOR :open_mouth: (doesn't seem to work but that's no loss)
I mainly like SearX because it is basically multiple search engines in one, and also includes the science section (Google Scholar, arXiv etc). I credit my relatively good academic record to SearX

Didn't realise you could install Whoogle as a service though :exploding_head: that's very interesting! Will be sure to give it a go.

Already updated, but there was a build issue. Fixed

Searx also does, btw. searx is the package you are looking for

Well, I gave it a container restart. Seems fixed after doing so :eyes:

Nice, SearX is working again! Thank you dr460nf1r3
Now I can go learn about how to cook pasta and all the physiochemical characteristics of pasta with multiple search engines

:OOOOO

Working now for me too. Awesome work, and fast too! Can't thank you enough
