Garuda-Rani keeps freezing and turning to grey window

I’m on a clean install of Garuda Dr460nized Gaming with all the updates installed. Whenever I open Rani and try to use it, the program freezes, and then turns to a grey screen. I couldn’t even get an inxi out of it before it crashed. So I ran garuda-inxi in terminal to get the info below.

I have no idea what to do at this point. I don’t know Linux very well and I’ve learned to depend on Rani.

same issue on my friends laptop with XFCE. I sayed to him close it over the Task Manager and wait few days for a update maybe… he isnt need actually because i did all settings he need . He was a windows user and now on garuda too

which rani version you have? the normal Rani or the Rani-git Version? If you have not the git version you can try to install it.

sudo pacman -S garuda-rani-git

Welcome to the forum.

That’s a good idea.

Now please do the same with garuda-rani, start it via terminal:

garuda-rani

and wait until Rani freezes, then post the complete terminal output.

like @nepi already mentioned too start garuda-rani over terminal and wait until its freeze and post here in a codeblock < /> symbol the output here.

i should think nico will also take a look if he has time

I tried this solution, and opened Rani after installing it. Seemed to be working, and Rani said I should restart the PC so I did. Rani then crashed immediately at startup.

Killed the process in system monitor and opened it again. Tried uninstalling Boxtron, it got stuck at Syncing all file systems. And now it has just crashed when I tried to highlight the output in Rani and copy it for this post. It is just a grey window again.

I have same issue. It’s crashing constantly when trying to install / change something. It just get unreponsive.

Also having crashes on Rani freezes unresponsive grey.
Checking garuda assistant journal errors after rani crashes giving a lot off information about coredump. I have put log on pastebin as it was to long to paste here. Garuda's PrivateBin

This is happening to me also with Rani, i will have it minimized then when i open it up again its all grey and i can’t do anything with it… i had to kill the app process and start it up again to be able to use it…

I had the standard version on latest, but installed the git version to test. Both I have same freezing issue. It freezes quite random, it might freeze when I minimize it and open back and more commonly whatever action I do inside it it just freezes completely.
