So recently i used rufus with Garuda Linux Zen.. Knowing i swtiched from MBR2GPT, the Dracut is refusing to boot, giving a error out of Dracut:Fatal one or more files are missing
Rufus is refusing to use ISO mode, it uses DD mode instead… It forces DD due to it being a Uefihybrid iso, it sais.. So i cleaned through diskpart, formatted to gpt and the issues remains. it doesnt want to use ISO mode, it sticks to DD
Hi there, welcome to the forum.
Please use Ventoy instead of Rufus, and, if necessary, the grub2 option when proposed (although I think this is not necessary anymore with the new isos).
i tried both, im just given a black screen when after choosing mokka on ventoy..
well a grub2 and normal mode, both offers black screens, sorry and i apologize with my late reply..
please use safety remove function after it say copied finish. i had a issue aswell because it wasnt correct written. To be sure check both sha256 checksum
haha thanks!! means much! yes i checked the hash, they were completely different.. Lol, but it the download was never fully completed.. Silly mistake but thanks! Il try rufus or balena etcher again since ventoy still doesnt seem to work for me.. Oh and i dont have a Grub bootloader, which i think garudas installation does that?? idk… But thanks anyways! enjoy ya day!
Default:
Fat32 for the uefi parttion; Btrfs partition with subvolumes for / Only with btrfs you have the snapshot option.
Of course, when installing Garuda Linux, you can also use ext4 instead of btrfs, the choice is yours.
