Garuda is slow and laggy

Hello, my issue is stated in the title. Games that used to work when I had Windows 10 are now lagging, most of the time the mouse is lagging and is also delayed, just browsing the internet slows down my laptop a bunch.

I haven’t tried anything since I’m completely new to not just Garuda but also Linux.
Any help is appriciated.

Hi there, welcome to the forum.
Have you tried if you get better performance selecting the x11 session at login?
Furthermore this means that a reboot is pending after the last update

Glad it helped.
What, for clarity for future readers? The x11 session?

I set it to the x11 version, yes.

You could also try setting the animations in compositor to force maximum smoothness on wayland .
